Short Description

Sahal ben Sa'ad – May God be pleased with him – said the prophet – peace and prayers upon him:
Said: “people will be in goodness as long as they hurry to have breakfast” [Narrated by Al-Bukhari and
Muslim]
This sunnah demonstrates plainly the aspect of mercy in Islam, where Almighty Allah says in the Quran: (
Why should Allah punish you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him. And Allah is Ever All-Appreciative (of good), All-Knowing)
Fasting is obligation by Allah from dawn to sunset only, and Allah is not benefited from our delay for breaking fast at Ramadan. People will be in goodness as long as they hurry to have breakfast because it is a sign for their adherence to sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and for their mercy towards themselves and others which is the goal of Allah to us. This sunnah may be fulfilled through few drops of water to drink or eating dates.
