The Prophet had nine Uncles. Two of them accepted Islam, while the others remained disbelievers.

First: Those who embraced Islam:

1-Hamzah

Hamzah Ibn `Abd al-Muttalib: He was the paternal uncle of the Prophet. He was raised with the Prophet as they were almost the same age. Hamzah was known as Lion of Allah for his bravery.
Hamzah’s Conversion to Islam
Hamzah converted to Islam when the following incident happened. Hamzah, uncle of Prophet Muhammad had returned to the city of Mecca after a hunting trip in the desert. Upon returning, he soon learned that Abû Jahl, the enemy of Islam had heaped abuse and insults upon the Prophet, who had not responded and walked away from where he had sat in the Haram. Outraged, Hamza dashed to the Ka`abah, where Abû Jahl sat with other leaders of Mecca and began to beat him with his bow, saying, "Are you going to insult him now, now that I am of his religion and vouch for what he vouches for? Hit me if you can!" As the companions of Abû Jahl warily stood, approaching Hamzah, Abû Jahl cried out from the ground, "Let Abû `Umarah (i.e. Hamzah), for indeed, I insulted his nephew deeply." It is worthy to mention that Hamzah turned to a strong believer and advocator of Islam after this incident.
His Death:
He was martyred at the Battle of Uhud by Wahshy Ibn Harb. Hamzah was one of the bravest warriors of Islam.

2- Al-`Abbâs

He was known as "Abû al-Fadhel, i.e. the father of al-Fadhel". He was born in Mecca two years before the birth of the Prophet. He was captured by the Muslims in the battle of Badr and released. He declared his acceptance of Islam in the year of the conquest of Mecca, but there are some narrations that he accepted Islam before this time and was practicing Islam secretly. He was famous for his sharp intelligence. After he declared his Islam, he became one of the best advocators of Islam. His descendants established the `Abbasid Caliphate.
He died shortly before the martyrdom of `Uthmân Ibn `Affan. He died in 32 AH at the age of 88. `Uthmân led his funeral prayer.

Second: Those uncles who did not embrace Islam:

2- Abû Lahab
3- Az-Zubayr
4- Al-Maqoom
5- Zarrar
6- Al-Haris
7- Hajl
