18th of Rajab 256AH, 21 June 870 : Death of Abbasid Caliph Mohamed Al-Muhtadi-Billah bin Haroun Al-Wathiq bin Al-Mu'tasim bin Al-Rashid, alias Al-Muhtadi. He was the 14th caliph in the Abbasid dynasty. His tenure was short, as it did not exceed a year. He was deposed later and died four days after his deposition.

18th of Rajab 555AH, 25 July 1160 : Abi-Mohamed Abdullah bin Yousef Al-Hafiz bin Mohamed, nicknamed Al-Adhedh stepped to the throne of the Fatimid state. He was the last caliph in the Fatimid state. He was paid allegiance while he did not exceed ten years old. He stayed in power until 567AH after his minister Salah Al-Din Al-Ayoubi dropped his name from the sermon, marking the demise of the Fatimid Caliphate and the beginning of a new era.

18th of Rajab 930AH, 22 May 1524 : Death of Shah Ismail Al-Safawi, ruler of the Safavid state, at the age of 37. He was succeeded by his son Tahmosob, who was ten years old at that time. Shah Ismail was defeated in the famous battle of Jalderan versus the Ottomans.

18th of Rajab 1058AH, 8 August 1648 : Sultana "Kosom Mahbikar" took over the Sultanate of the Ottoman Empire on behalf of her grandson Sultan Muhamed Khan IV, who stepped to the throne at the age of six after deposing his father Sultan Ibrahim. Lover of power and politics, Kosom did not stop at deposing her son, but she worked to kill him ten days after that date as he threatened to exclude her from politics.
