1st of Jumada Al Akher 1362 AH/ June 5th, 1943 AD: The holding of the first conference of its kind on cooperatives in Egypt. The conference was under chaired by Fuad Serajuddin the then minister of social affairs. Mansoura was chosen as one of the first towns where guilds were established.
