Egyptians Conquer Acre

27th of Zul Hejja, 1247 AH/ May 27th, 1832 AD: The Egyptian army under Ahmed el Monokly conquers Acre after Egypt' s ruler Mohammed Ali declared war on Abdullah Pasha the Acre's wali under the pretext that he harbored 6000 of the Egyptians who escaped draft into the Egyptian army and under another pretext that he failed to send woods for the Egyptian fleet. Acre surrendered after six months of siege.
