10th of Thul Hejja Year 1342 AH/ July 12th, 1924 AD: Death of noted Egyptian man of letters Mustafa Lotfy el Manfalooty. He was born in the Egyptian town of Manfaloot, Upper Egypt, in the year 1293 AH/ 1877 AD. He was awarded the title Pioneer of Rhetoric for his attractive style of writing. His writings and life career helped successive generations to develop better mannerism, language and conduct. Of his masterpieces are the Nazarat or Contemplations, Fi Sabeel el Tag or in search of the crown, Magdalene, Al Fadeela or the virtue, and the Abarat or tears.
