1284 AH/ August 31 st, 1864 AD: Death of great French Poet Charles Baudelaire. He published his first and most famous volume of Flowers of Evil which earned him a fierce criticism because it was regarded as inconsistent with good literal taste and good manners. He led a life of abject poverty until his death.
