3rd of Thul Qa'dah Year 748 AH/ February 4th, 1348 AD: death of notable Muslim historian Mohamed Ibn Ahmed Ibn Othman, alias al Zahabi, an authority at Islamic history who was born and educated in Damascus and traveled to seek knowledge and science. After he returned from his long journeys, he devoted himself to teaching and writing books.
