It is not necessary to do Da'wah since the Qur'an itself says "to you is your way and to me is mine" and it also says "Let there be no compulsion in religion"

Answer;

1.Dawah is Compulsory on every Muslim

a) Allah says in Surah al Asr 103 : 1-3

"1 By (the Token of) time (through the Ages),

2 Verily Man is in loss,

3 Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy."

Allah says in this verse that all of Mankind are in "Khusr" IE loss and destruction. To not be in Loss the requirements are four – Iman (faith), righteous deeds,  the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.  Since propagation is one of the requirements we have to compulsory to do it in order to not be destroyed.

b)Surah Baqara 2:159-160

"Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down, and the Guidance, after We have made it clear for the People in the Book - on them shall be Allah's curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse

Except those who repent and make amends and openly declare (the Truth): to them I turn; for I am Oft-Returning, Most Merciful."

c) Surah Baqara  2:143

"Thus have We made of you an Ummah justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves"

Since Muhammed(SAW) was the last Prophet of Allah and there is going to be no other Prophet after him it is the responsibility of his ummah to do the job of passing on the message of Allah the way Muhammed(SAW) passed on the message.

These and several other Ayats of the Qur'an speak about the responsibility of the Muslim Ummah

2. "To you be your Way, and to me mine"

a)The Context

The Qur'an does say in Surah Kafiroon 109:6

"To you be your Way, and to me mine."

But the context of this verse starts at verse number 1 of Surah Kafiroon. Let us look at the context:

"1  Say: O ye that reject Faith!

2  I worship not that which ye worship,

3  Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

4  And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,

5  Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

6  To you be your Way, and to me mine."

These words have been said to the "Kafirs".  The word "Kafir" means "one who conceal or reject the truth of Islam". A person can reject Islam only if it is presented to him. How can he reject the truth if it is never presented to him? These words are to be said after a person rejects Islam.

b) Our way

When it is said to the rejecters "To you be your Way, and to me mine."The way of the believers is to continue presenting the truth and keep calling him to Islam. Prophet Muhammed(SAW) kept calling people to Islam for several years even though they were rejecting it.

3."Let there be no compulsion in religion"

The Qur'an does say in Surah Baqara 2:256 "Let there be no compulsion in religion". However the entire verse says

"Let there be no compulsion in religion: truth stands out clear from error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand hold, never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things."

The verse says that there should be no compulsion in religion. No person can be forced to accept Islam. Why? The answer is in the next part " truth stands out clear from error whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand hold, never breaks." The Truth is clear from Falsehood and truly those who accept the truth have the biggest helper. When we do Dawah we are simply inviting the person to accept the truth we are not compelling him to accept Islam.
