27th of Zul Hejja,1395 AH/ December 31st, 1975 AD: France officially recognizes the independence of the Comoro Islands after an occupation which lasted for 150 years. The Comoro Islands is an Islamic, Arab, African state which is the recent member state in the Arab League. The history of the islands witness internal conflicts and turmoil which made it an easy prey to imperialists. Still do the islands witness some restlessness which reaches the extent that some voices there call for returning to be a French protectorate.
