Year 1232 AH/ October 17th, 1817 AD: Birth of Assayed Ahmed

Khan the founder of the Islamic Elekra(?)

University in India. He called for the reawakening of Muslims and stressed the necessity of education. He had some religious opinions in some issues which he went against the consensus of Muslim legal scholars, which prompted some scholars to label his as infidel.
