3rd of Zul Hejja, Year 1301 AH/  September 24th, 1884 AD:

Birth of Turkish leader  Ä°smet Ä°nönü. He was one of  Mustafa Kemal Ataturk 's men who greatly helped Ataturk defeat the Greek and establish the  republic of Turkey. He assumed presidency in 1938 after the death of Ataturk and his tenure lasted for 12 years.
