17th of Zul Hejja, Year 1340 AH/ May 16th, 1930 AD: Issuance of the Barber Dhir( decree) which gave free hand to the French protectorate in Morocco to put the Barber region under the French colonialism. By virtue of this decree, courts were founded based on the Barber customs and traditions, besides abolishing the Sharia -based law and imposing the French law instead.
