2nd of Ramadan 1373 AH/ May 5th, 1954 AD: The July 1952 Revolution government banned the Ahmad Abul Fath-owned Al-Masry newspaper and takes over its property and edifices following the issuance of the law of press purification. Al-Masry was issued in 1936 AD, a newspaper that demanded freedom of opinion and parliamentary life in Egypt and was characterized by courage in presenting its views
