4th of Jumada Al Akher 885 AH/ August 11th, 1480 AD: Ottoman Sultan Mohammed al Fateh succeeded in conquering Italian town of Otranto . He was due to take this town as a launching point from which he would head north until Rome to conquer it as he conquered Constantine, but he died before that, on 4th of Rabeea Awwal 886 AH/ May 3rd , 1481 AD.| < Prev | Next > |
