1st Abbas-Sahron Summit Held

29th of Zul Hejja,1425 AH/ February 8th, 2005 AD: Holding the first summit between Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon in presence of the Egyptian president and the Jordanian monarch in the Egyptian coastal town of Sharm el Sheikh. At this summit, both Abbas and Sharon announced the stop of "acts of violence", with Egypt and Jordan pledging to reinstate their respective ambassadors to Israel.
